Learning how to draw Tiana

My first try at drawing Tiana from "The Princess and the Frog" was a real struggle. The face proportions were incorrect and her body proportions wasn't like a normal female. Her waist size is small and her eyes are very large.

As you can tell, without a guide I struggled.

I looked online for a guide to help me get a grip on the style of Tiana.
